SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Background: This is the fourth public hearing the Commission will hold during its 2022 report cycle. The hearing will start by examining U.S. policies to address China’s nonmarket economy practices, such as subsidies, excess capacity, and market access restrictions. The hearing will then explore U.S. approaches to defend against China’s industrial policies related to innovation and technology as well as weak Chinese IP protection and theft. Abstract: VA Form 21P–0537, Marital Status Questionnaire, is used to confirm the marital status of a surviving spouse in receipt of Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC) benefits. If a surviving spouse remarries, he or she is no longer entitled to DIC unless the marriage began after age 55 or has been terminated. This is a revision. The respondent burden has decreased due to the estimated number of receivables averaged over the past year, no substantive changes have been made to the form.
