The information collected is necessary for VA to ensure that it is releasing the refund to an appropriate individual who will disburse the refund according to the laws of the state where the Veteran was a legal resident (e.g., estate laws). Affected Public: Individuals and households. Estimated Annual Burden: 250 hours. Estimated Average Burden Per Respondent: 15 minutes. Frequency of Response: One-time.
