The water supply required for the Projects would be leased from the Moapa Band. Access to the Projects will be provided via North Las Vegas Boulevard from the I– 15/US 93 interchange. The purposes of the proposed Projects are, among other things, to: (1) Provide a long-term, diverse, and viable economic revenue base and job opportunities for the Moapa Band; (2) assist Nevada to meet their State renewable energy needs; and (3) allow the Moapa Band, in partnership with the Applicant, to optimize the use of the lease site while maximizing the potential economic benefit to the Moapa Band. Accordingly, effective January 12, 2022, the Commission instituted countervailing duty investigation No. 701–TA–678 and antidumping duty investigation No. 731–TA–1584 (Preliminary). Notice of the institution of the Commission’s investigations and of a public conference to be held in connection therewith was given by posting copies of the notice in the Office of the Secretary, U.S. International Trade Commission, Washington, DC, and by publishing the notice in the Federal Register of January 19, 2022 (87 FR 2901). The Commission conducted its conference on February 2, 2022. All persons who requested the opportunity were permitted to participate. The Commission made these determinations pursuant to §§ 703(a) and 733(a) of the Act (19 U.S.C. 1671b(a) and 1673b(a)).
