AGENCY:
The Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA) has submitted an
information collection request (ICR),
EPA’s National Fish Program (EPA ICR
Number 1959.07, OMB Control Number
2040–0226) to the Office of Management
and Budget (OMB) for review and
approval in accordance with the
Paperwork Reduction Act. This is a
proposed extension of the ICR, which is
currently approved through April 30,
2022. Public comments were previously
requested via the Federal Register on
August 3, 2021 during a 60-day
comment period. This notice allows for
an additional 30 days for public
comments. A fuller description of the
ICR is given below, including its
estimated burden and cost to the public.
An agency may not conduct or sponsor
and a person is not required to respond
to a collection of information unless it
displays a currently valid OMB control
number.

Abstract: This ICR is for voluntary
information collections under the
National Fish Program. These
information collections would help EPA
advance equitable and effective fish
advisory programs that protect
recreational and subsistence fishers and
other underserved populations from
consumption of contaminated fish. This
information is collected under the
authority of section 104 of the Clean
Water Act, which provides for the
collection of information to be used to
protect human health and the
environment. The information to be
collected on a voluntary basis would
include the following: Fish advisory
information and fish tissue data
collected to assist in making advisory
decisions; state or tribal fish program
information for the National Fish
Advisory Program Evaluation; and,
technical program information from
