Public Scoping Meeting AGENCY: In accordance with 10 CFR 51.26(b), the scoping process for an EIS may include a public scoping meeting, which may help identify significant issues related to the proposed action and to determine the scope of issues to be addressed in the EIS. The NRC is planning to conduct a public outreach and scoping meeting for the Kairos Hermes EIS. The meeting is currently expected to be held on March 23, 2022. The registration program allows NRC to better track general licensees, so that they can be contacted or inspected as necessary, and to make sure that generally licensed devices can be identified even if lost or damaged. Also, the registration program ensures that general licensees are aware of and understand the requirements for the possession, use, and disposal of devices containing byproduct material.
