requests authorization to abandon
pipelines and four-meter stations that
have not been utilized in over 20 years
and are not expected to be used in the
future, all located in Pointe Coupe´e
Parish, Louisiana.
The EA assesses the potential
environmental effects of the
abandonment activities of the
Happytown Abandonment Project in
accordance with the requirements of the
National Environmental Policy Act
(NEPA). The FERC staff concludes that
approval of the proposed project, with
appropriate mitigating measures, would
not constitute a major federal action
significantly affecting the quality of the
human environment.
