Abstract of Proposed Collection
The form created by this information
collection (DS–4194) will be used to
request authentications services from
the Authentications Office of the U.S.
Department of State in the United
States. In accordance with 22 CFR part
131, the Office of Authentications
provides authentication services for
federal public documents that will be
used overseas. These services support
individuals, commercial organizations,
institutions, and federal and state
government agencies seeking to use
certain documents abroad.

premiums paid prior to the
commencement of advance payments.
Current Actions: There are no changes
to the form at this time, however the
agency has updated the number of
responses based on most recent filing
data. There has been an estimated
increase of 358 responses, resulting in
an overall hourly burden increase of 239
hours (2039 to 2278).
Type of Review: Revision of a
currently approved collection.
Affected Public: Individuals or
households.
Estimated Number of Respondents:
3,416.
Estimated Time per Respondent: 40
minutes.
