This notice announces that
the Assistant Secretary—Indian Affairs
has acquired all land comprising the
National Bison Range, consisting of
approximately 18,800.22 acres, more or
less, into trust for the Confederated
Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the
Flathead Reservation.
DATES: This trust transfer occurred on
December 27, 2020.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: This
notice is published in the exercise of
authority delegated by the Secretary of
the Interior to the Assistant Secretary—
Indian Affairs by part 209 of the
Departmental Manual, and is published
in the Assistant Secretary’s discretion to
inform the public and provide clarity
regarding title of the National Bison
Range.
On the date listed in the DATES section
of this notice, the President signed
Public Law 116–260, which provides
that all land comprising the National
Bison Range are held in trust by the
United States for the benefit of the
