Summary of Request: GreenLight Biosciences, Inc. is requesting an experimental use permit for the active ingredient (AI) Ledprona (CAS No. 2433753–68–3) double-stranded RNA. The purpose is to conduct large scale field trials on potatoes to better understand how the AI performs using multiple commercial application methods and equipment, as well as gathering data on efficacy and crop safety. The proposed experimental program would begin on April 1, 2022 and would go until April 1, 2023; a total of 3,700 grams of AI would be applied to 200 acres of potatoes in numerous states.
