Take notice that on February 19, 2021, Mountain Valley Pipeline, LLC (Mountain Valley), 2200 Energy Drive, Canonsburg, Pennsylvania 15317, filed an application under section 7(c) of the Natural Gas Act (NGA), and Part 157 of the Commission’s regulations requesting that the Commission issue an order amending Mountain Valley’s certificate of public convenience and necessity (Certificate) for the Mountain Valley Pipeline Project (Project).1 Mountain Valley requests that the Commission amend the Certificate to grant Mountain Valley the ability to change the crossing method for specific wetlands and waterbodies yet to be crossed by the Project from the open-cut crossings that were authorized by the Certificate to one of several trenchless methods. Mountain Valley proposes to use trenchless methods at 120 locations to cross 181 waterbodies and wetlands that the Commission originally authorized as open-cut.
