Abstract: VBA administers an
integrated program of of benefits and
services established by law for Veterans,
service personnel, and their dependents,
survivors, and/or beneficiaries. A
claimant’s eligibility for pension
benefits or Parents’ Dependency and
Indemnity Compensation (DIC) is
determined, in part, by countable
income. VA Form 21P–4185 Report of
Income from Property or Business, is
used to report income and expenses that
derived from rental property and/or the
operation of a business. VBA uses this
form to determine whether the claimant
is eligible for VA benefits and, if
eligibility exists, the proper rate of
payment.
Affected Public: Individuals and
households.
Estimated Annual Burden: 3,500
hours.
Estimated Average Burden per
Respondent: 30 minutes.

Abstract: Restored Entitlement
Program for Survivors (REPS) is a
benefit payable to certain surviving
spouses and dependent children of
deceased Veterans who died in service
prior to August 13, 1981 or died as a
result of a service-connected disability
incurred or aggravated prior to August
13, 1981. VA Form 21P–8926 is used to
verify beneficiaries receiving REPS
benefits based on school-aged child
status, are in fact enrolled full-time in
an approved school and are otherwise
eligible for continued benefits under
REPS. Without the information
provided on the form, determination of
continued eligibility would not be
possible.

Affairs (VA) to establish standards for
lenders making automatically
guaranteed loans and 38 U.S.C. 3731(f)
authorizes VA to establish, in
regulation, standards and procedures to
authorize a lender to determine the
reasonable value of property. VA has
implemented this authority through its
Lender Appraisal Processing Program
(LAPP), codified in 38 CFR 36.4347.
An agency may not conduct or
sponsor, and a person is not required to
respond to a collection of information
unless it displays a currently valid OMB
control number. The Federal Register
