subject to a penalty for failure to comply
with, a collection of information subject
to the Paperwork Reduction Act unless
that collection displays a currently valid
OMB Control Number.

AGENCY:
The Gulf Coast Ecosystem
Restoration Council (Council) publishes
this rule to amend the Council’s
regulation on the Uniform
Administrative Requirements, Cost
Principles, and Audit Requirements for
Federal Awards, to align with the Office
of Management and Budget’s (OMB)
recent amendments to its regulations on
Grants and Agreements.
DATES: This rule is effective February 8,
2021.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: On
December 19, 2014, OMB issued an
interim final rule that implemented for
all Federal award-making agencies the
final guidance on Uniform
Administrative Requirements, Cost
Principles, and Audit Requirements for
Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). In
that interim final rule, Federal awarding
agencies, including the Council, joined
together to implement the Uniform
Guidance in their respective chapters of
title 2 of the CFR, and, where approved
by the Office of OMB, implemented any
exceptions to the Uniform Guidance by
including the relevant language in their
regulations. The intent of this effort was
to simultaneously reduce administrative
burden and the risk of waste, fraud, and
abuse while delivering better
performance. Implementation of the
Uniform Guidance became effective on
December 26, 2014 (79 FR 75867,

ACTION: Final rule; correction.
AGENCY:
On December 16, 2020, the
U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)
published a final rule amending the
definition of showerhead. This
correction republishes an amendment
from the final rule that could not be
incorporated into the Code of Federal
Regulations (CFR) due to an inaccurate
amendatory instruction. Neither the
errors nor the corrections in this
document affect the substance of the
rulemaking or any of the conclusions
reached in support of this final rule.
