Midwest is a new business, requesting designation in two counties in Iowa (Clinton and Jackson) and two counties in Illinois (Carroll and Whiteside) within the territory. AMS evaluated each application against the designation criteria in section 7(f) of the USGSA (7 U.S.C. 79(f)) and determined that Mid-Iowa is better able to provide official services in the geographic area specified in the Federal Register on February 10, 2020. The designation to provide official services in the specified area of MidIowa is effective July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2023. RUS Electric Program provides support to the vast rural American electric infrastructure. RUS’ Telecommunications Program makes loans to furnish and improve telephone services and other telecommunications purposes in rural areas. SUMMARY: The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is announcing the
