Needs and Uses: The information
collections under OMB Control Number
0704–0477 pertains to the requirement
for Offerors to submit a mitigation plan
when there is an organizational conflict
of interest that can be resolved through
mitigation in order to address
organizational conflicts of interest in
major defense acquisition programs.
DFARS clause 252.209–7008, Notice of
Prohibition Relating to Organizational
Conflict of Interest—Major Defense
Acquisition Program, requires an offeror
to submit a mitigation plan if requesting
an exemption from the statutory
limitation on future contracting.

contracting officer before release of any
unclassified contract-related
information outside the contractor’s
organization, unless the information is
already in the public domain. In
requesting this approval, the contractor
must identify the specific information to
be released, the medium to be used, and
the purpose for the release. Upon
receipt of a contractor’s request, the
Government reviews the information
provided by the contractor to determine
if it is sensitive or otherwise
inappropriate for release for the stated
purpose.
