Agenda
The Advisory Panel will discuss
preliminary Plan Development Team
(PDT) analyses and potential range of
alternatives to consider in Framework 8,
an action considering herring fishery
specifications for FY 2021–23 and
adjustment of measures in the Herring
Fishery Management Plan that
potentially inhibit the mackerel fishery
from achieving optimum yield. They
will also discuss preliminary PDT
analyses and potential range of
alternatives to consider in Framework 7,
an action to protect spawning of
Atlantic herring on Georges Bank. Other
business may be discussed if time
permits, including: (1) Brief review of
NROC/MARCO/RODA fishery
dependent data project and request for
feedback (Dr. Fiona Hogan); (2)
introduction of the Executive Order on
Promoting Seafood Competitiveness and
Economic Growth.

Pursuant to the National Marine
Sanctuaries Act and Solicitation for
Applications for the Mallows BayPotomac River National Marine
Sanctuary Advisory Council

Service (NOS), National Oceanic and
Atmospheric Administration (NOAA),
Department of Commerce (DOC).
ACTION: Notice of solicitation.
AGENCY:
Notice is hereby given that
NOAA is establishing a national marine
sanctuary advisory council for the
Mallows Bay-Potomac River National
Marine Sanctuary (MPNMS) which was
designated on September 3, 2019. The
council will provide advice and
recommendations to ONMS regarding
the sanctuary management plan and
will serve as liaisons between the
sanctuary and constituents and
community groups. ONMS is adding
this council to the list of established
national marine sanctuary advisory
councils. ONMS solicits applications to
fill council seats on an as needed basis
and is now seeking applicants for seats
on the MPNMS Sanctuary Advisory
