The DoD is publishing this
notice to announce that the following
Federal Advisory Committee meeting of
the National Security Education Board
will take place.
DATES: Open to the public Tuesday,
June 2, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:45
a.m.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: This
meeting is being held under the
provisions of the Federal Advisory
Committee Act (FACA) of 1972 (5
U.S.C., Appendix, as amended), the
Government in the Sunshine Act of
1976 (5 U.S.C. 552b, as amended), and
41 CFR 102–3.140 and 102–3.150.
Purpose of the Meeting: The purpose
of the meeting is to review and make
recommendations to the Secretary of
Defense concerning requirements
established by the David L. Boren
National Security Education Act, Title
VII of Public Law 102–183, as amended.
Agenda: 9:00 a.m.—National Security
Education Board (NSEB) Full Meeting
Begins. 9:15 a.m.—National Security
Education Program (NSEP) Discussion
with the Board. 10:30 a.m.—Class of
2020 Boren Scholars and Fellows. 11:00

agenda of the planned meeting. All
written statements shall be submitted to
the Designated Federal Officer for the
National Security Education Board, and
this individual will ensure that the
written statements are provided to the
membership for their consideration.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The
Department of Education (ED), in
accordance with the Paperwork
Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA) (44 U.S.C.
3506(c)(2)(A)), provides the general
public and Federal agencies with an
opportunity to comment on proposed,
revised, and continuing collections of
information. This helps the Department
assess the impact of its information
collection requirements and minimize
the public’s reporting burden. It also
helps the public understand the
Department’s information collection
requirements and provide the requested
data in the desired format. ED is
soliciting comments on the proposed
information collection request (ICR) that
is described below. The Department of
Education is especially interested in
public comment addressing the
following issues: (1) Is this collection
necessary to the proper functions of the
Department; (2) will this information be
processed and used in a timely manner;
(3) is the estimate of burden accurate;
(4) how might the Department enhance
the quality, utility, and clarity of the
information to be collected; and (5) how
might the Department minimize the
