AGENCY: SUMMARY: Centre Lane Trading Limited (Applicant or CLT) has applied to renew its authorization to transmit electric energy from the United States to Canada pursuant to the Federal Power Act. On June 29, 2015, DOE issued Order EA–365–A, which authorized CLT to transmit electric energy from the United States to Canada as a power marketer for a five-year term using existing international transmission facilities appropriate for open access. The authorization expires on June 9, 2020. On March 5, 2020, CLT filed an application (Application or App.) with DOE for renewal of the export authorization contained in Order No. EA–365–B. CLT states that it ‘‘is a private company organized under the Business Corporations Act (Ontario, Canada) with its principal place of business in Toronto, Ontario Canada’’ and is ‘‘wholly owned by Mackie Research Financial Corporation’’ App. at 2. The Applicant further states that it ‘‘will purchase the power to be exported from electric utilities and federal power marketing agencies pursuant to voluntary agreements.’’ Id.
