Petition for Exemption

    Description of Relief Sought: American Airlines request an 
exemption from Sec.  121.915(b)(2)(ii) to receive credit for Line 
Observation Safety Audit (LOSA) observations on a one for one basis in 
lieu of random line checks required by the regulation. The substitute 
of a LOSA observation in lieu of a random line check is limited to 
twenty-five percent of the required line checks.
