the date of issuance of the Commission
staff’s Environmental Assessment (EA)
for the Project. This instant notice
identifies the FERC staff’s planned
schedule for the completion of the EA
for the Project.
Schedule for Environmental Review
Issuance of EA—October 25, 2019
90-day Federal Authorization Decision
Deadline—January 23, 2020
If a schedule change becomes
necessary, additional notice will be
provided so that the relevant agencies
are kept informed of the Project’s

Project Description
Columbia proposes replacing
segments of the existing Class 2
Mainline 100 and Mainline 200
pipelines with Class 3 pipelines to meet
the U.S. Department of Transportation’s
safety regulations. The replacement of
Mainline 100 and Mainline 200 consists
of the abandonment and replacement of
approximately 2,650 feet of 30-inchdiameter natural gas transmission
pipeline, within Montgomery and
Menifee Counties, Kentucky.
Background
On July 12, 2019, the Commission
issued a Notice of Intent to Prepare an
Environmental Assessment for the
Proposed Mainline 100 and Mainline
200 Replacement Project and Request
for Comments on Environmental Issues
(NOI). The NOI was sent to affected
landowners; federal, state, and local
government agencies; elected officials;
environmental and public interest
groups; Native American tribes; and
