SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: FDA is
announcing the issuance of a priority
review voucher to the sponsor of an
approved rare pediatric disease product
application. Under section 529 of the
FD&C Act (21 U.S.C. 360ff), which was
added by FDASIA, FDA will award
priority review vouchers to sponsors of
approved rare pediatric disease product
applications that meet certain criteria
upon approval of those applications.
FDA has determined that ZOLGENSMA
(onasemnogene abeparvovec-xioi),
manufactured by AveXis, Inc., meets the
criteria for a priority review voucher.
ZOLGENSMA (onasemnogene
abeparvovec-xioi) is indicated for the
treatment of pediatric patients less than
2 years of age with spinal muscular
atrophy with biallelic mutations in the
survival motor neuron 1 gene.

Agenda: The committee will discuss
supplemental new drug application
(sNDA) 208215, supplement 12,
DESCOVY (emtricitabine 200
milligrams (mg) and tenofovir
alafenamide 25 mg tablets), submitted
by Gilead Sciences, Inc., proposed for
pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to
reduce the risk of sexually acquired
HIV–1 infection among individuals who
are HIV-negative and at risk for HIV.
FDA intends to make background

than 2 business days before the meeting.

Drugs.’’ This guidance outlines the
requirements and recommendations for
various types of submissions of
promotional materials for prescription
drugs and biological products, including
the specific formats needed for use in
the electronic common technical
document (eCTD) as well as non-eCTD
and non-electronic formats. This
guidance finalizes the draft guidance
issued in April 2015.
