AGENCY:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory
Commission (NRC) is issuing for public
comment draft regulatory guide (DG),
DG–1353, ‘‘Guidance for a TechnologyInclusive, Risk-Informed, and
Performance-Based Methodology to
Inform the Licensing Basis and Content
of Applications for Licenses,
Certifications, and Approvals for NonLight Water Reactors.’’ This DG
proposes new guidance for designers,
applicants, and licensees of non-light
water cooled nuclear reactors (nonLWRs) to inform the licensing basis and
content of applications submittals to the
NRC for licenses, certifications, or
approvals. The DG provides guidance
on using a technology-inclusive, riskinformed, and performance-based
methodology to inform the licensing
basis and content of applications for
licenses, certifications, and approvals
for non-LWRs.
DATES: Submit comments by July 2,
2019. Comments received after this date
will be considered if it is practical to do
so, but the NRC is able to ensure
consideration only for comments
received on or before this date.

The NRC is issuing for public
comment a DG in the NRC’s ‘‘Regulatory
Guide’’ series. This series was

evaluating specific issues or postulated
