(including latest developments from the

coverage Subgroup report; updates
about ongoing issues (e.g., contracting,
insurance, the deck sorting proposed
rule); review of the Analytical Task
Status document; and, other items at the
discretion of the Chair.

The
purpose of this webinar is for the EWG
to discuss revisions to the Fishery
Ecosystem Plan goals and objectives as
part of the five-year review. In March
2019 the Council directed the EWG to
submit, for the September 2019
advanced briefing book, alternative
descriptions of the FEP Vision
(including purpose, goals, and
objectives), taking into account public
and advisory body comments.
Although non-emergency issues not
contained in the meeting agenda may be
discussed, those issues may not be the
subject of formal action during this
meeting. Action will be restricted to
those issues specifically listed in this
document and any issues arising after
publication of this document that
require emergency action under section
305(c) of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery
Conservation and Management Act,
provided the public has been notified of
the intent to take final action to address
the emergency.

The Joint Groundfish Committee,
Advisory Panel and Plan Development
Team on Day 1 (May 20) will review
Amendment 23/Groundfish Monitoring
particularly review and consider the
results of the SSC Sub-Panel review of
the PDT analyses of Groundfish
Monitoring. Additionally, they will
receive a report and discuss The Nature
Conservancy’s cost evaluation for
electronic monitoring prepared by
CapLog Group. On Day 2 (May 21) they
will continue to develop revisions to the
draft alternatives as directed by the
Council in April, especially the
dockside monitoring alternative, and
review and consider progress on PDT
analysis tasked by the Committee in
April. Other business will be discussed
as necessary.
Although non-emergency issues not

before this group for discussion, those
