Yadkin requests Commission approval
for an amendment to the license for the
Yadkin Hydroelectric Project. The 2016
project license authorized modifications
to turbine/generator units at High Rock,
Tuckertown, Narrows, and Falls
developments. Cube Yadkin initiated
unit modifications at High Rock, and
conducted further testing at the other
three developments. Cube Yadkin
determined that the Tuckertown,
Narrows, and Falls facilities are in good
condition, and modifying these would
not provide any benefit. Therefore, Cube
Hydro proposes to keep the units at
Tuckertown, Narrows, and Falls
developments as is and not make any
modifications. Cube Yadkin does not
anticipate any environmental impacts as
a result of the proposed amendment.

In accordance with the National
Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and
the Federal Energy Regulatory
Commission’s (Commission)
regulations, 18 CFR part 380, the Office
of Energy Projects has reviewed the
application for subsequent license for
the Barker’s Mill Hydroelectric Project,
located on the Little Androscoggin River
in Androscoggin County, Maine, and
has prepared a Final Environmental
Assessment (FEA) for the project. The
project does not occupy federal land.
The FEA contains Commission staff’s
analysis of the potential environmental
effects of the project, and concludes that
licensing the project, with appropriate
environmental protective measures,
would not constitute a major federal
action that would significantly affect the
quality of the human environment.
