The Committee will also recommend recreational management measures for summer flounder in 2019, including either the use of conservation equivalency or coastwide recreational management measures to achieve but not exceed the revised 2019 recreational harvest limit. The purpose of this meeting is for the Advisory Panels to review and comment on recent stock assessment information for summer flounder, as well as the reports and recommendations of the Council’s Scientific and Statistical Committee (SSC) and the Summer Flounder, Scup, and Black Sea Bass Monitoring Committee regarding revised 2019 fishery specifications (i.e., catch and landings limits and management measures) for summer flounder as well as expected new specifications for 2020–21. The AP will also be asked for recommendations on recreational management measures for summer flounder in 2019. The Council and ASMFC will consider input from the AP when adopting 2019–21 catch and landings limits and 2019 recreational measures for summer flounder.
