Defense Media Activity announces a
proposed public information collection
and seeks public comment on the
provisions thereof. Comments are
invited on: Whether the proposed
collection of information is necessary
for the proper performance of the
functions of the agency, including
whether the information shall have
practical utility; the accuracy of the
agency’s estimate of the burden of the
proposed information collection; ways
to enhance the quality, utility, and

(NDAA 2010) and the Department of

Program (EFMP).’’ The NDAA 2010
established the Office of Special Needs
(OSN) and tasked OSN with developing,
implementing, and overseeing
comprehensive policies surrounding
assignment and support for these
military families. Additionally, per
DoDI 1315.19, military departments are
required to coordinate assignments for
Service members enrolled in the EFMP
to verify if necessary medical and/or
educational services are available at the
next assignment for family members
with special needs.
