this registration.

The DEA has considered the factors in
21 U.S.C. 823, 952(a) and 958(a) and
determined that the registration of the
listed registrant to import the applicable
basic classes of schedule I or II
controlled substances is consistent with
the public interest and with United
States obligations under international
treaties, conventions, or protocols in
effect on May 1, 1971. The DEA
investigated the company’s maintenance
of effective controls against diversion by
inspecting and testing the company’s
physical security systems, verifying the
company’s compliance with state and
local laws, and reviewing the company’s
background and history.
Therefore, pursuant to 21 U.S.C.
952(a) and 958(a), and in accordance
with 21 CFR 1301.34, the DEA has
granted a registration as an importer for

I, Patricia K. Cushwa, of the United
States Parole Commission, was present
at a meeting of said Commission, which
started at approximately 1:30 p.m., on
Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the
U.S. Parole Commission, 90 K Street NE,
Third Floor, Washington, DC 20530.
The purpose of the meeting was to
discuss original jurisdiction cases
pursuant to 28 CFR 2.25. and 28 CFR
2.68(i)(1) Two Commissioners were
present, constituting a quorum when the
vote to close the meeting was submitted.
Public announcement further
describing the subject matter of the
meeting and certifications of the General
Counsel that this meeting may be closed
by votes of the Commissioners present
were submitted to the Commissioners
prior to the conduct of any other
business. Upon motion duly made,
seconded, and carried, the following
Commissioners voted that the meeting
be closed: Patricia K. Cushwa and
Charles T. Massarone.

record of the vote taken to close this
meeting and authorize this record to be
made available to the public.
