AGENCY:
The Bureau of the Census
(Census Bureau) gives notice of a
meeting of the National Advisory
Committee on Racial, Ethnic and Other
Populations (NAC). The NAC addresses
policy, research, and technical issues
relating to all Census Bureau programs
and activities. These activities include
the production and dissemination of
detailed demographic and economic
statistics across all program areas,
including the Decennial Census
Program.
SUMMARY:
November 1–2, 2018. On
Thursday, November 1, the meeting will
begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m.
On Friday, November 2, the meeting
will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 2:00
p.m.

2012 and operates in accordance with
the Federal Advisory Committee Act
(Title 5, United States Code, Appendix
2, Section 10). The NAC members are

Bureau and provide recommendations
to the Director on statistical and data
collection issues on topics such as hardto-reach populations, race and ethnicity,
language, aging populations, American
Indian and Alaska Native tribal

populations, complex households, rural
populations, and population segments
with limited access to technology. The
Committee also advises on data privacy
and confidentiality, among other issues.
All meetings are open to the public.
A brief period will be set aside at the
meeting for public comment on Friday,
November 2. However, individuals with
extensive questions or statements must
