SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: On March 28, 2018, the U.S. Coast Guard published a request in the Federal Register Volume 83, Number 60, for applications for membership in the Great Lakes Pilotage Advisory Committee. The application in the notice is being extended until the vacancy is filled. Applicants who responded to the initial notice do not need to reapply. The Great Lakes Pilotage Advisory Committee is a federal advisory committee established in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee Act (5 U.S.C., Appendix). The Great Lakes Pilotage Advisory Committee operates under the authority of 46 U.S.C. 9307, and makes recommendations to the Secretary and the U.S. Coast Guard on matters relating to the Great Lakes. Meetings of the Great Lakes Pilotage Advisory Committee will be held with the approval of the Designated Federal Officer. The Committee is required to meet at least once per year. Additional meetings may be held at the request of a majority of the Committee or at the discretion of the Designated Federal Officer. Each Great Lakes Pilotage Advisory Committee member serves a term of office of up to 3 years. Members may serve a maximum of six consecutive years. All members serve without compensation from the Federal Government; however, they may receive travel reimbursement and per diem. We will consider applicants for one position that will become vacant on September 30, 2018. • One member with a background in finance or accounting, who— a. Must have been recommended to the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security by a unanimous vote of the other members of the Committee, and b.
