III. Participating in the Public Meeting
Registration: To register for the public
meeting, please visit the following

complete contact information for each
attendee, including name, title,
affiliation, address, email, and
telephone.
Registration is free and based on
space availability, with priority given to
early registrants. Persons interested in
attending this public meeting must
register by July 19, 2018, midnight
Eastern Time. Early registration is
recommended because seating is
limited; therefore, FDA may limit the
number of participants from each
organization. Registrants will receive
confirmation when they have been
accepted.

Requests for Oral Presentations:
During online registration you may
indicate if you wish to present during a
public comment session or participate
in a specific session, and which topic(s)
you wish to address. We will do our
best to accommodate requests to make
public comments and requests to
participate in the focused sessions.
Individuals and organizations with
common interests are urged to
consolidate or coordinate their
presentations, and request time for a
joint presentation, or submit requests for
designated representatives to participate
in the focused sessions. All requests to
make oral presentations must be
received by July 12, 2018, midnight
Eastern Time. We will determine the
amount of time allotted to each
presenter and the approximate time
each oral presentation is to begin, and
will select and notify participants by
July 16, 2018. Speakers will be limited
to making oral remarks; there will not be
an opportunity to display materials such
as slide shows, videos, or other media
during the meeting. No commercial or
promotional material will be permitted
to be presented or distributed at the
public meeting.

Background and Authority: The TickBorne Disease Working Group was
established on August 10, 2017, in
accordance with section 2062 of the 21st
Century Cures Act, and the Federal
Advisory Committee Act, 5 U.S.C. App.,
as amended, to provide expertise and
review all HHS, DoD and VA efforts
related to tick-borne diseases to help
ensure interagency coordination and
minimize overlap, examine research
priorities, and identify and address
unmet needs. In addition, the Working
Group is required to submit a report to
the Secretary and Congress on their
findings and any recommendations for
improving the federal response to tickborne disease prevention, treatment and
research, and addressing gaps in those
areas.
