The New England Fishery
Management Council (Council) is
scheduling a public meeting of its Skate
Committee to consider actions affecting
New England fisheries in the exclusive
economic zone (EEZ).
Recommendations from this group will
be brought to the full Council for formal
consideration and action, if appropriate.
DATES: This meeting will be held on
Monday, June 11, 2018 at 2 p.m.

Committee will review draft alternatives
for skate wing possession limits, which
are intended to prolong the skate wing
fishery. They will also recommend
preferred alternatives for skate wing
possession limits for Framework 6 to the
Council. Other Business will be
discussed as necessary.
Although non-emergency issues not
contained on this agenda may come
before this Council for discussion, those
issues may not be the subject of formal
action during this meeting. Council
action will be restricted to those issues
