The EAB consists of 15 voting members from Federal, State, local and tribal law enforcement agencies. Under the NCS, the BLS conducts ongoing surveys of compensation and job characteristics. Data collected by the NCS are used to produce Employment Cost Trends, including the Employment Cost Index and Employer Costs for Employee Compensation, employee benefits data, and data used by the President’s Pay Agent. This information collection has been classified as a revision, because the BLS is implementing a sample design change. The BLS is also removing subsidized commuting and stock options from the ‘‘Other Benefits’’ collection and adding student loan repayments and flexible work schedules to it. The Ethics Reform Act of 1989, the Federal Employees Pay Comparability Act of 1990, and the BLS Authorizing Statute authorize this information collection. See 2 U.S.C. 4501; 5 U.S.C. 5304(d)(1)(A), 5 U.S.C. 5318(a); and 29 U.S.C. 2b. This information collection is subject to the PRA.
