The Guidelines revision reflects the most current thinking and practices of the Division of Dam Safety and Inspections. The Guidelines can be found in Docket Number AD18–6–000. The full text of the Guidelines can be viewed on the Commission’s website at https:// www.ferc.gov/industries/hydropower/ safety/guidelines/eng-guide/chap11.asp. The Guidelines are intended to provide guidance to the industry. This document does not substitute for, amend, or supersede the Commission’s regulations under 18 CFR part 12— Safety of Water Power Projects and Project Works. In response to the draft Guidelines, Commission staff received comments from federal and state agencies, licensees whose portfolio includes arch dams, independent consultants and inspectors, and other interested parties.
