The unique design of the vessel did not lend itself to full compliance with Annex I part 2(a)(i), Annex 1 part 2(a)(ii), and Annex 1 part 2(i)(i) of the 72 COLREGS of the International Navigational Rules. The Chief, Prevention Division further finds and certifies that the forward and aft masts, and required lights, are in the closest possible compliance with the applicable provisions of the 72 COLREGS.6 This notice is issued under authority of 33 U.S.C. 1605(c) and 33 CFR 81.18.
