k. Description of Request: The project
consists of the existing water supply
transmission system and one
powerhouse containing one turbine
generating unit with a total rated
capacity of 225 kilowatts (kW). The
project has not operated since October
7, 2005. The demand for water at the
project has been around 0.5 million
gallons per day (MGD). The minimum
required flow required to operate the
hydrogenerator is 6.1 MGD. As a result,
the exemptee, has determined it would
like to surrender the exemption.
Electricity to the hydrogenerator has
been permanently disconnected. No
ground disturbance is associated with
the proposed surrender and project
features will remain in place.
