The information collection notice was previously published in the Federal Register on September 18, 2017, Vol. 82 FR 43566, allowing for a 60-day public comment period. USICE did not receive any comment relating to the 60-day notice. The purpose of this notice is to allow an additional 30 days for public comments. This questionnaire is used for the purposes of allowing ICE to evaluate a state or local law enforcement agency that has expressed interest in partnering with ICE under Section 287(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act so that its officers may be delegated the authority to perform the functions of an immigration officer under a signed memorandum of agreement. The prospective law enforcement agency provides this information to ICE as part of ICE’s process to evaluate the agency’s suitability to partner with ICE. (5) An estimate of the total number of respondents and the amount of time estimated for an average respondent to respond: 50 responses at 60 minutes (1 hour) per response.
