The Rule This amendment to Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) part 71 modifies Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface within a 6.6-mile (from a 6.5-mile) radius of Stevens Point Municipal Airport, Stevens Point, WI. The segments that extended 1.8 miles each side of the Stevens Point VORTAC extending from the 6.5-mile radius to 7 miles northeast, east, and southwest of the VORTAC, would be removed due to the decommissioning of the VORTAC and cancellation of the VOR approaches. This action enhances the safety and management of the standard instrument approach procedures for IFR operations at the airport. Regulatory Notices and Analyses The FAA has determined that this regulation only involves an established body of technical regulations for which frequent and routine amendments are necessary to keep them operationally current, is non-controversial and unlikely to result in adverse or negative comments.
