The FAA determined that the request to release property at Harnett Regional Jetport (HRJ) submitted by the County of Harnett meets the procedural requirements of the FAA and the release of the property does not and will not impact future aviation needs at the airport. The FAA may approve the request, in whole or in part, no sooner than thirty days after the publication of this notice. Background Under 49 U.S.C. 31136(e) and 31315, FMCSA may grant an exemption for five years if it finds ‘‘such exemption would likely achieve a level of safety that is equivalent to or greater than the level that would be achieved absent such exemption.’’ The statute also allows the Agency to renew exemptions at the end of the five-year period.
