Description of Relief Sought: The
petitioner seeks an exemption from 14
CFR 61.58 for persons operating turbojet
self-launching gliders. In place of the
pilot-in-command (PIC) proficiency
check requirements of § 61.58, the
petitioner would like to substitute
initial training, recurrent training, and
proficiency training specific to selflaunching glider operations.
