circumstances beyond the control of the
Designated Federal Officer and the
Department of Defense, the Judicial
Proceedings Since Fiscal Year 2012
Amendments Panel was unable to
provide public notification concerning
its meeting on July 26 through 27, 2017,
as required by 41 CFR 102–3.150(a).
Accordingly, the Advisory Committee
Management Officer for the Department
of Defense, pursuant to 41 CFR 102–
3.150(b), waives the 15-calendar day
notification requirement.
This meeting is being held under the

On April 17, 2017, we
published in the Federal Register (82
FR 18131) a notice of application
deadline for fiscal year (FY) 2017 for the
Small, Rural School Achievement
(SRSA) formula grant program, Catalog
of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA)
number 84.358A. The notice of
application deadline established a
deadline date of June 30, 2017, for
eligible local education agencies (LEAs)
to submit their FY 2017 SRSA
applications in the Grants.gov system.
This notice reopens the application
period in Grants.gov until July 28, 2017.

SUMMARY:
We are
reopening the application deadline date
for FY 2017 SRSA grant applications in
order to allow eligible LEAs additional
time to complete and submit their
applications. All LEAs eligible to
receive an SRSA award are required to
submit an SRSA application in order to
receive SRSA funds, regardless of
whether the LEA received an award in
prior years. An LEA eligible to receive
FY 2017 SRSA funds that fails to submit
an FY 2017 SRSA application or fails to
submit an application in accordance
with the application submission
procedures will not receive an SRSA
award this September.
Applicants that did not meet the
initial June 30, 2017 deadline must
submit applications by July 28, 2017 to
be considered for FY 2017 funding.
