Description of Request: The applicant requests that its license be amended to allow for the replacement of much of the mechanical and electrical equipment at the project. The applicant proposes to replace each of the three turbine runners, wicket gates, main power transformer, and high voltage electrical system. The applicant also proposes to refurbish the generators and related control equipment, and install new intake and draft tube gates. The proposal would cause the authorized installed capacity of the project to drop from 64.8 to 63 megawatts, and would reduce the total maximum hydraulic capacity from 39,000 to 38,100 cubic feet per second. However, due to the efficiency of the new equipment, the estimated annual generation would increase by approximately 34.2 gigawatt-hours. l.
