All requestors are heretofore referred to as ‘‘air carriers.’’ The FAA is also deploying a web-based online application called the Pilot Records Database (PRD) in December 2016 that is expected to benefit hiring air carriers, operators, and pilots required to comply with PRIA. This application automates the current PRIA process and provides an air carrier with immediate access to a consenting pilot’s FAA records.
