ACTION: Notice of actions on special
permit applications.
AGENCY:
In accordance with the
procedures governing the application
for, and the processing of, special
permits from the Department of
Transportation’s Hazardous Material
Regulations (49 CFR part 107, subpart
B), notice is hereby given that the Office
of Hazardous Materials Safety has
received the application described
herein. Each mode of transportation for

To authorize the transportation in commerce of certain Division 2.1 and 2.2 materials in DOT Specification 3A, 3AA, 3AX, 3AAX and 3T cylinders
(tubes) having a water capacity over 125 lbs that
are requalified every ten years rather than every
five years. The 3AX, 3AAX, and 3T cylinders
(tubes) must be mounted in an ISO frame or on a
trailer frame. 3A or 3AA tubes may also be mounted in an ISO frame or tube trailer frame.
To authorize the transportation in commerce of explosives by cargo only aircraft which is forbidden in
the regulations.
To authorize the transportation of consumer propane
tanks in support of post-hurricane clean-up efforts.
