Perce-Clearwater National Forests
Travel Planning EIS established the
scope for this SEIS.
The SEIS will be advertised for public
comment as required by 40 CFR 1503.1.
The Draft SEIS will be announced for
public review and comment in the
Federal Register, on the Nez PerceClearwater National Forests’ project
Web site, and in the Lewiston, Idaho
Lewiston Tribune, as well as other local
media.
Responsible Official and Lead Agency
The USDA Forest Service is the lead
agency for this proposal. The Nez PerceClearwater Forest Supervisor is the
responsible official.
Decision to Be Made is whether to
adopt the proposed action, in whole or
in part, or another alternative; and what
mitigation measures and management
requirements will be implemented.

1974, the National Forest Management
Act of 1976, and the Federal Public
Lands Recreation Enhancement Act.

Recommendation on BHRL;
(5) Recreation Facilities Working
Group update; and
(6) Non-motorized Trails/Over Snow
Working Group update.
The meeting is open to the public.
The agenda will include time for people
to make oral statements of three minutes
or less. Individuals wishing to make an
oral statement should submit a request
in writing by October 11, 2016, to be
scheduled on the agenda. Anyone who
would like to bring related matters to
the attention of the Board may file
written statements with the Board’s staff
before or after the meeting. Written
