ACTION: Notice of meeting.
AGENCY:
Pursuant to section 10(a)(2) of
the Federal Advisory Committee Act
(Pub. L. 92–463), as amended, notice is
hereby given that the 72nd meeting of
the President’s Committee on the Arts
and the Humanities (PCAH) will
tentatively be held at the Library of
Congress, 101 Independence Ave. SE.,
Washington, DC 20540. Please contact
PCAH for specific location information.
Ending time is approximate.

a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The
meeting, on Friday, September 23rd,
will begin with welcome and remarks
from the co-chairs. This will be
followed by updates on Committee
programs (National Arts and Humanities
Youth Program Awards, Turnaround
Arts, National Student Poets Program,
and Cultural Diplomacy). There also
will be reports from the President’s
Committee partners and ex officio
members, such as the Institute of
Museum and Library Services (IMLS),
National Endowment for the Arts (NEA),
National Endowment for the Humanities
(NEH), National Gallery of Art, John F.
Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts,
U.S. Department of Education, and the
U.S. Department of State. The meeting
will adjourn after closing remarks.
The President’s Committee on the
Arts and the Humanities was created by
Executive Order in 1982, which
currently states that the ‘‘Committee
shall advise, provide recommendations
to, and assist the President, the National
Endowment for the Arts, the National
Endowment for the Humanities, and the
Institute of Museum and Library
Services on matters relating to the arts
and the humanities.’’
Any interested persons may attend as
observers, on a space available basis, but
seating is limited. Therefore, for this
meeting, individuals wishing to attend

Subcommittee on APR 1400; Notice of
Meeting
The ACRS Subcommittee on APR
1400 will hold a meeting on September
21–22, 2016, Room T–2B1, 11545
Rockville Pike, Rockville, Maryland.
The meeting will be open to public
attendance with the exception of
portions that may be closed to protect
information that is proprietary pursuant
to 5 U.S.C. 552b(c)(4). The agenda for
the subject meeting shall be as follows:
Wednesday, September 21, 2016–8:30
a.m. until 5:00 p.m.; Thursday,
September 22, 2016–8:30 a.m. until
12:00 p.m.
The Subcommittee will review the
APR 1400 Safety Evaluation Reports
with open items—Chapters 2 (site) and
5 (reactor coolant system). The
Subcommittee will hear presentations
by and hold discussions with the NRC
staff and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power
Company regarding this matter. The
Subcommittee will gather information,
analyze relevant issues and facts, and
formulate proposed positions and
actions, as appropriate, for deliberation
by the Full Committee.
Members of the public desiring to
provide oral statements and/or written
comments should notify the Designated
Federal Official (DFO), Christopher
Brown (Telephone 301–415–7111 or
Email: Christopher.Brown@nrc.gov) five
days prior to the meeting, if possible, so
that appropriate arrangements can be
made. Thirty-five hard copies of each
presentation or handout should be
provided to the DFO thirty minutes
before the meeting. In addition, one

electronic copy of each presentation
should be emailed to the DFO one day
before the meeting. If an electronic copy
cannot be provided within this
timeframe, presenters should provide
the DFO with a CD containing each

before the meeting. Electronic
recordings will be permitted only
during those portions of the meeting
that are open to the public. Detailed
procedures for the conduct of and
participation in ACRS meetings were
published in the Federal Register on
October 21, 2015, (80 FR 63846).

transcripts are available on the NRC

regarding topics to be discussed,
changes to the agenda, whether the
meeting has been canceled or
rescheduled, and the time allotted to
present oral statements can be obtained

Moreover, in view of the possibility that
the schedule for ACRS meetings may be
adjusted by the Chairman as necessary
to facilitate the conduct of the meeting,
persons planning to attend should check
with these references if such
rescheduling would result in a major
inconvenience.
