Final Flood Hazard Determinations
Federal Emergency

ACTION: Final notice.
AGENCY:
Flood hazard determinations,
which may include additions or
modifications of Base Flood Elevations
(BFEs), base flood depths, Special Flood
Hazard Area (SFHA) boundaries or zone
designations, or regulatory floodways on
the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs)
and where applicable, in the supporting
Flood Insurance Study (FIS) reports
have been made final for the
communities listed in the table below.
The FIRM and FIS report are the basis
of the floodplain management measures
that a community is required either to
adopt or to show evidence of having in
effect in order to qualify or remain
qualified for participation in the Federal
Emergency Management Agency’s
(FEMA’s) National Flood Insurance
Program (NFIP). In addition, the FIRM

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The
Federal Emergency Management Agency
(FEMA) makes the final determinations
listed below for the new or modified

changes has been published in
newspapers of local circulation and 90
days have elapsed since that
publication. The Deputy Associate
Administrator for Mitigation has

accordance with section 110 of the
Flood Disaster Protection Act of 1973,
42 U.S.C. 4104, and 44 CFR part 67.
FEMA has developed criteria for
floodplain management in floodprone
areas in accordance with 44 CFR part
60.
Interested lessees and owners of real
property are encouraged to review the
new or revised FIRM and FIS report
available at the address cited below for
each community or online through the
FEMA Map Service Center at
www.msc.fema.gov.
The flood hazard determinations are
made final in the watersheds and/or

AGENCY:
The Federal Emergency
Management Agency, as part of its
continuing effort to reduce paperwork
and respondent burden, invites the
general public and other Federal
agencies to take this opportunity to
comment on an extension, without
change, of a currently approved
information collection. In accordance
with the Paperwork Reduction Act of
1995, this notice seeks comments
concerning the FEMA Preparedness
Grants: Tribal Homeland Security Grant
Program (THSGP). The THSGP
investment justification allows Native
American Indian Tribes to apply for
Federal funding to support efforts to
build and sustain core capabilities
across the Prevention, Protection,
Mitigation, Response, and Recovery
mission areas to protect the homeland.

or before October 21, 2016.

The
purpose of the THSGP to make grants
available to Federally-recognized
‘‘directly eligible tribes’’ to provide
tribes with the ability to develop and
deliver core capabilities using the
combined efforts of the whole
community, rather than the exclusive
effort of any single organization or level
of government. The THSGP’s allowable
costs support efforts of tribes to build
and sustain core capabilities across the
prevention, protection, mitigation,
response, and recovery mission areas.

The THSGP also plays an important role
in the implementation of the National
Preparedness System by supporting the
building, sustainment, and delivery of
core capabilities essential to achieving
DHS FEMA’s National Preparedness
Goal of a secure and resilient Nation.
Federally-recognized tribes are those
tribes appearing on the list published by
the Secretary of the Interior pursuant to
the Federally Recognized Indian Tribe
List Act of 1994 (Pub. L. 103–454) (25
U.S.C. 479a–1). ‘‘Directly eligible tribes’’
are defined in Section 2001 of the
Homeland Security Act of 2002, as
amended (Pub. L. 107–296) (6 U.S.C.
601).
