The project currently occupies a total of 5,498 acres of federal land administered by the Bureau of Land Management. Staff prepared a final environmental assessment (EA), which analyzes the potential environmental effects of constructing and operating a new diversion on the West Fork of Upper Battle Creek that would divert water to Bradley Lake and thereby increase generation at the project. The final EA concludes that authorizing the amendment, with appropriate environmental protective measures, would not constitute a major federal action that would significantly affect the quality of the human environment. A copy of the final EA is available for review at the Commission in the Public Reference Room or may be viewed on the Commission’s Web site at www.ferc.gov using the ‘‘eLibrary’’ link.
