AGENCY: EPA has received specific exemption requests from the Montana and the North Dakota Departments of Agriculture to use the herbicide pyridate (CAS No. 55512–33–9) on chickpea to control kochia, including glyphosate-resistant kochia. The applicants propose a use of a pesticide that was voluntarily canceled in 2004, and which is now considered to be unregistered under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA).
