Abstract: Form 8498 is used by the Director of Practice to determine the qualifications of those individuals or organizations seeking to present continuing professional educational programs for persons enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. Current Actions: There is no change in the form previously approved by OMB. However, we are increasing the estimated number of annual responses to account for an estimated increase in submissions. This will result in an annual burden increase of 180 hours per year. Type of Review: Revision of a currently approved collection. Affected Public: Individuals and business or other for-profit organizations. Estimated Number of Respondents: 800. Estimated Time per Respondent: 36 minutes. Estimated Total Annual Burden Hours: 480.
