k. Description of Request: The
licensee proposes to revise the project’s
recreation plan to incorporate a
modification made in 2015 to the canoe
portage take-out. Specifically, the
licensee, with assistance from the City
of Elkhart, constructed a concrete boat
loading/unloading area within the rightof-way of Beardsley Avenue that enables
the take-out to function better as an
independent boat launch. Aside from
the new loading/unloading area, other
aspects of the current recreation plan
would remain the same.
