for the Bear River Narrows
Hydroelectric Project (FERC No. 12486)
and prepared a final environmental
impact statement (EIS) for the project.
The proposed project would be
located on the Bear River, near the city
of Preston, in Franklin County, Idaho.
The project would occupy 243 acres of
federal land managed by the Bureau of
Land Management.
The final EIS contains staff’s
evaluation of the applicant’s proposal
and the alternatives for licensing the
Bear River Narrows Hydroelectric
Project. The final EIS documents the
views of governmental agencies, nongovernmental organizations, affected
Indian tribes, the public, the license
applicant, and Commission staff.

In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969
